3.16 Birthday Policy
United School of Panama recognizes that birthdays are a special day for our students and parents. We request that birthday celebrations are kept simple, ensuring that parties and celebrations do not disrupt the instructional day or interfere with the health and safety of our students.
On the special day (PK-6th grade)
Birthdays are celebrated internally.
We will take a picture of your child and sing happy birthday with the class.
The picture will be sent to parents.
Goody bags from parents are allowed and will be distributed on the student’s actual birthday. If parents want to send goodie bags, they need to follow these guidelines:
• Goody bags need to be sent to school 1 day prior to distribution.
• Goody bags must not include any type of food.
• We suggest coloring books, crayons, erasers, pencils, stickers.
• Goody bags will be distributed just before dismissal.
Birthday invitations for celebrations outside the school will only be distributed digitally if the whole class is invited. The invitation should be sent to the Academic coordinator 1 week prior to the selected distribution date.
