USP CAMPUS: VISITORS ACCESS CONTROL

The purpose of this document is to provide clear guidelines and expectations for staff and visitors when entering USP school premises.

The School Administration assures all visitors a warm, friendly and professional welcome to United School of Panama, whatever the purpose of your visit. As an educational institution, we have a legal duty to care for the health, safety, security and wellbeing of our students and staff as stated in the USP Child Protection Policy.

Regular campus hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30 – 1:30pm on Fridays. The procedures detailed below pertain to these hours. Visitors and parents are permitted on campus outside of these hours by appointment or invitation only.

Visitors

Any parent, guardian, outside student, service provider, or any other guest are considered visitors on USP’s campus. Visitors entering school property are asked to follow the campus access control guidelines detailed below.

Visitors park at the parking lot entering the security gate. In compliance with USP’s Child Protection Policy, the ONLY access to campus premises is through the security gate. Every visitor, including parents and volunteers, are required to register at the security gate.

This registration process entails:

  • Showing an official photo ID
  • Signing a visitor log
  • Stating purpose for the visit

Following this registration process, parents/guardians will be directed to the administration office. Guests will wait in the administration until escorted onto other areas of the campus if required. Wandering the school areas unsupervised is NOT permitted.

Given the arrangement of our facilities, service providers and other visitors will not access student areas unless for a specific and authorized purpose. If required to do so, they will be escorted by USP personnel at all times.
